Which restroom rental is best for a wedding?
A restroom trailer is best for a formal wedding of 100 guests or more, because it has flushing toilets, sinks, lights and air conditioning. A deluxe flushing porta potty works for smaller or budget weddings with no water or power on site. Standard units suit only the setup crew and vendors.
| Option | Guest experience | Site needs | Good fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Restroom trailer | Indoor-style bathroom: flush, vanity sink, mirror, lights, A/C | Garden hose within about 75 ft, 110-volt outlet, level spot | Formal weddings, 80+ guests, evening receptions |
| Deluxe flushing unit | Flushing toilet, hand sink, mirror | None | Backyard and ranch weddings, no hookups |
| ADA unit | Wheelchair turning space, grab bars | About 8 × 8 ft level pad | Any wedding with older or mobility-limited guests |
| Standard unit | Basic toilet, hand sanitizer | None | Vendors, caterers and setup crew |
How many restrooms does a wedding need?
A 150-guest, 5-hour wedding with a bar needs 5 standard units under our sizing method, or 1 two-stall restroom trailer plus 1 deluxe flushing unit for overflow. A 2-stall trailer comfortably serves about 75–100 guests at a 4-to-5-hour reception. Add 1 ADA unit when any guest uses a wheelchair or walker.
Worked example: 150 guests ÷ 50 = 3 units. Add 1 because the wedding runs 5 hours. Add 1 because alcohol is served. Total: 5 units. Run your numbers in the wedding restroom calculator.
What does a restroom trailer need at a wedding venue?
A restroom trailer needs a garden hose spigot within about 75 feet, a standard 110-volt outdoor outlet, and a level spot about the size of a pickup truck with room for the delivery truck to back in. No hose? A fresh water tank can be added. No outlet? Plan for a quiet generator.

- Tell us about the hose run so cords and hoses do not cross guest paths
- Trailers arrive the business day before and are picked up the next business day
- Wedding units are cleaned, deodorized and fully stocked before delivery
- Venue rules vary, so confirm the trailer spot with your venue coordinator
How early should you book wedding restrooms?
Book wedding restrooms 4–8 weeks ahead for spring and fall Saturdays, which book first. Restroom trailers are limited, so they go before standard units. If your date is closer, call anyway, because standard and flushing units can often go out within days and same-day delivery is possible.
Your wedding planner or venue may ask for the restroom company's details and insurance. In Fontana, the city's Special Event Application asks how many restrooms and ADA units you will have for events of 100+ people on public property. See Fontana permit rules.
Wedding restroom questions
Answers to questions renters ask us before they book.
How much does a wedding restroom trailer cost?
A 2-stall restroom trailer for one wedding typically starts around $1,500, and deluxe flushing units run about $370–$640 each. Water tank add-ons, distance and the number of days change the total. See the full price guide.
Do you deliver wedding restrooms on the day of the wedding?
Wedding units are delivered the business day before, so nothing arrives during your ceremony or setup. Pickup is the next business day after the wedding.
Is there a light inside a deluxe flushing porta potty?
No. Deluxe flushing units have no electric light. For an evening reception, place them near string lights or choose a restroom trailer, which has interior lighting.
Can a restroom trailer run off a generator?
Yes. A restroom trailer runs on a standard 110-volt circuit, so a quiet generator works when there is no outlet nearby. Place it away from guests to keep noise down.
What is the difference between a restroom trailer and a luxury porta potty?
A restroom trailer is a towed building with real flushing toilets, sinks, lights and A/C. A luxury or deluxe porta potty is a single portable unit with a flush and sink but no power.
Will the units be clean on the wedding day?
Yes. Wedding units are washed, sanitized, deodorized and stocked with paper, soap and towels before they leave the yard.
