Good placement makes delivery quick, service easy and the unit pleasant to use. Run through this list before delivery day.

Where is the best place to put a porta potty?
The best place for a porta potty is level, firm ground within about 25 feet of where the service truck can park, at least 20 feet from food and seating, with the door facing away from neighbors. A driveway edge, side yard or gravel pad works well. Avoid slopes, soft lawn and drainage paths.
Placement checklist
Use this porta potty placement checklist before delivery day: check that the ground is level, the gate is at least 4 feet wide, there are no low wires, sprinkler heads, septic lids or gas meters at the spot, and the truck has a clear path. Text a photo of the spot to dispatch.
- Level ground: a tilted unit can rock and spill.
- Clear path at least 4 feet wide for the dolly.
- No low wires or branches over the spot.
- Not over sprinkler heads, septic lids, gas or water meters.
- Within about 25 feet of truck parking.
- Away from food, pools and play areas.
- Lighting nearby for night use.
- Off the public street unless you have a permit.

At an event, place porta potties in a group at the edge of the party, within sight, about 20 or more feet from food, with handwashing stations at the end of the row. Leave space for a line that does not block walkways. ADA units need a firm, level path from the main area.
